Study on the Synthesis of Benzylalcohol by the Cannizzaro reaction

Abstract

|
In general there are two synthetic method of the benzyl alcohol from the benzaldehyde, in presence of formalin or in absence of it. In this study, it has been obtained the yields by these methods and it was found to be predominating result obtained from the latter method.
